OysterFest noun
oys·ter·fest | \ ˈȯi-stər-fest \
Definition of oysterfest
An oysterfest is a social affair with a plentitude of oysters, shucked and on ice, served to ticketed guests from stands positioned around a space. Many cities produce oyster events. But Portland, Maine, is the true home to the one and only Maine Oysterfest. What distinguishes this OysterFest from others is the caliber of the oyster farmers and the taste and unique experience of freshly shucked, coastal Maine oysters.
