Like lobsterman, lumberman, farmers, fisherman, and tradesman, these stoic faces tell a tale of hard work, dedication and above all, passion for the trade. These are Maine oyster growers. They live on the leading edge of aquaculture, which without a doubt is one of the state's most important emerging industries. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet this special group at Maine Oysterfest, Saturday, October 19 at Brick South. Everything is included in the ticket price: live music, the joy of slurping varieties of Maine oysters, an incredible selection of beverages, and the chance to learn firsthand what it takes to succeed on the Maine coast.
